Welcome to the North American Generator Forum
The North American Generator Forum (NAGF) was founded in 2009 as a vehicle for generator owners and/or operators to address issues related to registration, compliance, standards development and other NERC-related topics. In 2013, the North American Generator Forum, Inc. became a non-profit, dues-based corporation.
We provide entities who are generator owners and operators in North America a means to collaborate and communicate with FERC, NERC, the Regional Entities, the Canadian Provinces and other organizations with missions similar to ours, with the ultimate goal of improving the reliability of the bulk power system.

Governance Risk Compliance Tools
We are looking at identifying a new GRC tool that would allow us to track multiple regulatory/compliance risks. What tools are you using. What regulatory requirements are being tracked. NERC, ISO, GDRP, SarbOx etc. . .
I know this is a duplicate of this topic, that Heather Morgan put out in November, but I am curious.
In the past I have used MetricStream and CatsWeb/AssurX in various companies.

Decommissioning Advice
Hello all,
Wondering if anyone has experience decommissioning a generating facility (Coal / biomass) in North Carolina region. We have some assets that will be nearing the end of their PPA soon and I just want to understand (high level) some of the things I should be looking out for from a decommissioning standpoint. Interested in both NERC and FERC related items - but also interested in connecting with individuals on the environment side as well.
Thanks, <...

PRC-006-NPCC-2's generator UF curve for the Eastern Interconnect
Does anyone know the formula is or what the breakpoints are on PRC-006-NPCC-2's generator UF curve for the Eastern Interconnect?
It's difficult to tell when the first breakpoint is - it looks like the 57.0Hz line goes 0 - 3.x seconds. The time axis is on a log scale and it's also partially obscured by Quebec's trip curve.
The second breakpoint looks like it's at 300s at 59.0Hz.

PER-006 Collaboration Opportunity
All of us, compliance professionals, can certainly appreciate any opportunities to train the front line workers on compliance. Capital Power developed an overarching Protection System training that includes both technical & administrative compliance elements to capture various / interdependent NERC requirements related to Protection System (e.g. Management of Change, Misoperation). We are interested to speak to other members who have a similar approach to PER-006. We look forward to ...
