Welcome to the North American Generator Forum
The North American Generator Forum (NAGF) was founded in 2009 as a vehicle for generator owners and/or operators to address issues related to registration, compliance, standards development and other NERC-related topics. In 2013, the North American Generator Forum, Inc. became a non-profit, dues-based corporation.
We provide entities who are generator owners and operators in North America a means to collaborate and communicate with FERC, NERC, the Regional Entities, the Canadian Provinces and other organizations with missions similar to ours, with the ultimate goal of improving the reliability of the bulk power system.

Is "WECC testing" mandatory?
Hello to the GO/GOP in the WECC region!
I'm curious to know whether you interpret "WECC testing" as a mandatory requirement or a voluntary practice. I recently noticed that what was formally known as WECC Generating Unit Model Validation "Policy" is now called "Guideline" (click). Based on WECC's background information (

CIP-003 Physical Security Benchmarking for Utility Scale Solar Projects
I was hoping to get some input from the NAGF members on physical security aspects for CIP-003 compliance.
We are currently considering security hardware and cyber locks on various components outside of the substation.
For a 100 MW site, this could result in considerable cost with the cyber locks as there could be upwards of 200-300 locks required.
Is anyone doing anything differently for their solar sites?
Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

If you are a participant or have recently applied to participate in the Self-Logging program, it would be great to get your feedback on the application process, any training you received, general program management, and feedback on the benefit and participation in the program, in general.
